Christine's section, the bacchanal crew. The shimmery cleavage revealing top is a different design for carnival, it resembles club wear. Sheer belly dancer style skirt matches well.
I really like the coin belly dancer headpiece with full feathers in Bryant's section.

The costumes are nice for the most part. Nothing that makes me say WOW though. They reused some of the colour schemes from last yr that even though the costumes themselves are different, im left thinking about last yrs costumes. This happens for me with the Green costume, the pink costume, and the costume with the orange, blue and black.
On a different note. I like the purple and blue costume. But nothing really grabs me this yr. Either way, Saldenah 8th on the route even if the costumes were stellar I wouldnt play with them, but the fact that costumes dont wow me has made that decision alot easier.
Yeah, its unfortunate about their placement in the parade.We did hear they are arranging to have more of the tall barricades further along the route to help with crowd control and the band has hired extra security to try to keep stormers to a minimum.
I had seen the red costume at a separate launch...and it's the only one that really grabbed my attention.
Everything else is so-so for me..
I love the first red costume, I am assuming that is the xpat costume...
Hard to choose this year....I wish they were second in the parade route and then I would play in red without a second thought. I love that headpiece - is that only with frontline??

Yea the red is the Xpats costume. The frontline is already sold out though. The backline headpiece and costume is different though. There are pictures from the Xpat launch on my blog. The frontline of that section looks TREMENDOUSLY better than the backline though.
