Costume Creators held their launch at Nice & Easy Sport Bar, minutes away from us. (We love when a launch happens in the west end.) First off, the costumes presented sure are competitive for Toronto Carnival! Nice work CC team. The models who were comfortable did a great job. The presentation itself needed some finessing, with start time (9 pm), organization and staging. Unfortunately we saw the return of the dreaded smoke machine! A smoke machine is a bad idea at a launch, particularly at a small club. It's hard to take a clear photo surrounded by a haze of smoke. Not to mention patrons are coughing and it sets off allergies (lots of squinty, itchy eyes) in such a small space.
