Do you know of any good hotels/motels that are close to the beginning of the parade route in Barrie for the caribfest? It's my first time ever going so I'm a bit lost lol.
Barrie isn't really that big and I don't think there is a hotel within walking distance so you still might have to drive 5 minutes. Last year we stayed at the Howard Johnson Express Inn in Barrie. It was very cheap like ($60). the location was close to downtown and there was a kinda ok chinese buffet on site. but this was kinda shady,cheap, pretty old and run down spot. If its you and the boys and you are just looking to crash its ok, but if your wife is coming you might want to spring for the extra $40 and stay at the holiday inn, thats where some friends stayed and they said it was decent
Thanks, I ended up having to stay at the Travelodge because all the Holiday Inns were booked full. Bringing the wife and a kid, I hope it's half decent.
