Venom Carnival band launch - Inked

Venom put on a launch which was certainly on par with Toronto's 3 big bands. Chandni Grand was packed, the parking lot was full, with cars spilling onto the street. They brought in some international designers who know their stuff. In their sophomore year, it's clear Venom came to win!
There are several new elements to the costumes, differently designed bras, waistbands and well done headpieces. Bands best take note, Venom Carnival is serious competition!
I applaud the models who knew how to pose and took their time at center stage. It's very appreciated at launches.

Koru

I really like how this headpiece is designed, it's a style I'd love to wear.

Henna

ACUARELA

THIS suit!! 🤩 Especially the bra.  And that earpiece!!

Calavera

Terrific!

Samurai

Amarna

Tatau

Sakura

This is a great example of adding something different to a costume, these "chaps" styled waistband. 👍🏼

My favourite section. That denim material, love the bra style (below) and those bottoms. Fantastic work Suga Cayne Designs!

Indigo

Malachite

Ta Moko

My other favourite. (I can't choose just one, and no one can make me!) I love burgundy with pewter, and that's my kind of bra I'd really like to wear on the road! The design in the material in the high waisted bottoms is pretty.

Koi

HEADPIECE!!! 👏🏼

Another fun unique costume overall. Great colour changing sequins fabric.

The presentation that started at 1:00 finished at 2:45.

I was really impressed by Venom last year and was very excited to see this year's presentation.... and they did not disappoint. Although all the sections were really good; just going to comment on the ones that stood out to me most...

-Out of the gate, the beautiful neon colors of the Hieroglyphics section really grabbed my attention. Really pretty!!

-Acuarela: That monokini is EVERYTHING. That whole look is the perfect example of a little going a long way. Also love frontline section... it almost looks like a feather cape and the bodywear is really cute. I haven't seen the v-panty before and I love it. the entire Ultra frontline costume; from the headpiece to the bodywear (hello sexy sleeves), to the feather pieces at the back of the thigh. One of my favorite sections of the launch!

-Calevara: I love a sexy black costume! My favorite costume option is the upgraded backline with the corset top and spider panty. LOVED that and I think it will appeal to a lot of women. The frontline headpiece is gorgeous! I like the neck-wear around the male costume as well.

-Samurai: This section was another favorite for me. The frontline costume is H.T.T. perfection. The male costume is not too shabby either.

-Indigo: Let's just take a moment of silence to the mas gods and goddesses... for the the Indigo section. Just like you, I'm absolutely in love with this section. The denim with the patterned fabric? Amazing! I'm in love with the ultra frontline from this section. Another H.T.T look of perfection.

-Ta Moko: The rich oxblood, grey, and black just really appeals to me and I normally don't gravitate towards darker costumes. There's an elegance to this section, and that makes it stand out...

- Tebori: I can spot a Designing Daryl costume from a mile away... (Love him and love the headpiece on the Ultra frontline!

Overall, a great launch. It was fun to watch and I def have some costumes from this band on my shortlist!
