Carnival Nationz Kes The Carnival Band launch

Carnival Nationz held their Kes The Carnival Band launch at Tam Heather Curling and Tennis Club again. The show began at 1:10 with a tassa band. Kes gave a video introduction into each section, which was named after the band's songs.
I like how many of the mens costumes were given special attention to detail, like a useful sleeve phone holder, Panama style hats and visors. And the shorts continue to look great. Designers brought out some pretty colour combs, including grey (!!) with white flower appliqués, and new details like fringe and gold chains. Models did a fantastic job, and the finale wrapped up at 2:45.

I was really looking forward to this launch because who doesn’t like... no... LOVE Kes?! *swoons*
Ok... on to business. Lol
- Ah Ting Section: The male costumes from the Ah Ting Section? Greatness! First of allllllll... the models for this section were so fun to watch. The one-shoulder costume is not only practical with it’s pockets/phone holder, it’s also aesthetically pleasing to the eye. One of my fave male costumes I’ve seen... ever. I really like the Tie-dye patterned bodywear of this section, accented with the gold gems. Just enough to not be TOO much. Special note to one of my fave models: Cleo and her excellent portrayal of the ultra frontline costume. Ugh! She’s just gorgeous!
-Radar section: well hello sexy section?! That frontline? Chileeeeee!!!! The jeweled collar, multi-colored backpack, matching fabric sleeves, teeny bodywear.... all heads will turn for this section on the road. Loved this section... another fave from this launch season.
-Wotless Section: Every costume in this section feels complete and resolved. The frontline?! THE FRONTLINE?! Another head-turner. The massive blue wings with the colored accents, and the iridescent sleeves are stunning. The male costume is outstanding as well... with the Iridescent and jeweled collar that extends down the shoulders. Wow! Def a fave from this launch season and I can’t wait to see this section on the road.
-Come Gyal Section: the color combo of the grey with the silver, peach and green accents felt delicate and effortlessly sexy. I loved the various bodywear options as well.

Nationz had a lot of addition pretty, well-made/portrayed and appealing sections and I enjoyed watching their launch. Lots of variety and high energy. I legit wondered if the drinks were flowing backstage or if it was just natural vybez because their models were LIT. LOL. They had a rough go of it on the road last year so I’m hoping that them being first down the road this year will result in a better parade day for them and their masqueraders.
